We unfortunately can't give any advice regarding medical issues, so I'd recommend double checking things with your doctor as they will know best how bad the injury is and what you should and shouldn't be doing.
Sometime resting mild injuries or discomfort for a few days before getting back fully into your training is sufficient, BUT it's important to listen to your body and let it recover. Leave ego and impatience behind, think of the long game! Results don't happen overnight.
